A backpacker takes the midnight sleeper train from Hue to Hoi An, Vietnam, When he wakes up in the morning he is the only passenger in his cabin, or is he?

The Challenge

Telling a complete story in 30 seconds is brutal—especially horror, where you have to build suspense before landing the scare.

Our Solution

Every frame counts. We trimmed to the bone, kept only the tension, and timed the scare to the millisecond.

Behind the Scenes

• We based the scene on the director’s Hue–Hoi An trip, reconstructing it from location photos, phone clips, and notes captured that day.
• Only 2 weeks of production to meet challenge deadlines
